Why do I visit more than 15 colleges every year? I’ve traveled across the U.S. and internationally to compare and evaluate schools. It’s an investment in my continuing education so I can gather real information about factors important to the college search, including:
In what type of neighborhood is the college, and what do students do outside of class?
What majors are unique to each college, and how do different curricula compare?
How robust are career planning and placement services?
What factors weigh most heavily in each colleges’ admissions process?
How does the campus compare to what’s on the college’s website or in the brochure?
These are just some of the things I look for when I tour and meet with admissions officers. The college landscape is constantly changing, and there are a lot of things to think about when choosing the right fit college for YOU.
